MATRIX Institute of information Technology (Pvt) Ltd. With a primary object for ICT training and Education in Sri Lanka commemced it’s journey in the first quarter of 2006. the companies visionary vertern Mr. Viraj Pinto Jayawardena had a dream of making MATRIX an university to you. His first main goal was and is to make and take ICT to the highest level in Sri Lanka, Asia and the world.
“to make any student really competent, he or she needs the education backed by a sound industrial experience”, stated the chairman of MATRIX Mr. Viraj Pinto Jayawardena. With this inception in mind he launched the MATRIX Software Solutions Section.
We will unfold the applications which has been completed by the MATRIX team headed by the ICT Guru Mr. Viraj Pinto Jayawardena
Solution 01 MATRIX Registration System
This is a sophisticated information system developed by the MATRIX team, which mainly provides students registration, students payments, daily reporting functions, division wise reports, MIS and even DSS reports, which are used by the top management of the company to make strategic level decisions.
Solution 02 Online Questionnaire System
MATRIX software solutions reached a great exposure when the company developed their first external project to a client in Australia. The main objective of this system is to provide an online training to the company staff members who were working in four different sections within the organization. Further this questionnaire will then provide the management to rank the employees of the company enabling them to facilitate for future development and further promotions.
Solution 03 Online Voucher system
the next system the company developed was for the same organization, who required a rather simple system, which allowed the customers to receive certain discounts for the purchases that they have made from the organization.
Solution 04 MATRIX attendance system
This is another very successful internal system which was developed using JAVA and MySQL as the backend. This application provides the students to mark their attendance which will enable the management to decide on the class room allocations students due payments, and eve obtain statistics of the number of students who attendant the classes and further the number who was absent. This further enables the management to find out the progress from the students.
Solution 05 MATRIX Library system
In fact this was the second solution developed by MATRIX, which is integrate with the first application. The company provides the students a facility to obtain books and further make the relevant member updating using a system which was developed using VB.Net ad SQL server.
Online Help Desk system The MATRIX online help desk system is used to record the inquires, which reaches the reception and records the details of the inquiry, which is eventually routed to the relevant coordinator to provide further details. A report generator will automatically issue a report to the course director for further evaluation
Online Scheduling System This system will enable the academic staff to check their schedules and further update schedule details with regard to class completion which will allow a review to be done by the management to check if it is possible for them to complete the said classes to the given date.
Inventory Control System This will allow the management to record all the item details, it’s purchase date, cost, vendor, warranty period and many more, this is done for the management to better trace the company assets and further determine it’s depreciation.
